Balanced, thriving local economy

  • Support policies and ordinances that encourage businesses to locate within the City limits.

  • Work to attract a healthy mix of corporate and small businesses to increase our tax base and provide tax relief for citizens.

  • Find the best solution to the challenges posed by the Sanford Event Center

  • Ensure the rail corridor project, including YMCA and parks, serve all citizens well.

Public Safety

  • Support professional, effective, accountable law enforcement and emergency services.

  • Support projects that address poverty, mental health, addiction and homelessness

  • Develop strategies to eliminate gang and illegal drug activity.

  • Appropriate disposition of unsafe, abandoned structures.

Housing

  • Ordinances that protect the rights of tenants and support responsible landlords.

  • Bring creative solutions to increasing affordable housing including repurposing existing structures, new construction, and preservation of current housing stock.

  • Work collaboratively with Beltrami County, HRDC, Greater Bemidji, and other public and private entities to bring housing dollars and projects into our community.
